SNOOKER & DOMINOES

SNOOKER: The Hollygarth has 2 full sized snooker tables (as well as a pool table). It is in fact the only place in Ilkley where both men and women can play on full sized tables. The tables are available for use during club opening hours when competitive matches are not being played.

Please ensure that the table covers are replaced after use if no one else is waiting to use them, especially at or near to closing times.

The Club currently has three competitive snooker team's, 'A', 'B' & 'D', which play in the Otley and District Snooker and Dominoes League. The Hollygarth 'A' & 'D' teams both play in Division One and Hollygarth 'B' team plays in Division Three. Tuesday nights are the match nights, when either one or two of the teams will be playing at home. The season runs from late September around March of the following year.

Congratulations to Hollygarth A team member, George Manson, who scored the League's highest break of the 2000/01 season, with a 51.

Latest News (6 March 2002): Congratulations, Hollygarth D are Division 1 Champions for the 2001/2 season.

After the first five matches of the 2001/02 season, Hollygarth 'D' have a 10 point clear lead at the top of Division 1 (out of 11), with 34pts. Hollygarth 'A' are in bottom place with 10 points, but they still have 2 match results to be submitted, which would give them a total of 22 points and place them (with 2 other teams) in joint 5th position in Division 1. Hollygarth 'B' are in the 2nd place in Division 3 (out of 10), with 28 pts, behind Yeadon Con 'B', who have 32 points. The best break so far is 37 by J Dickerson of Burley Union B (Div 2).

DOMINOES: The Hollygarth 'A' & 'D' teams play in Dominoes Division 1 of the Otley and District Snooker and Dominoes League and the Hollygarth 'B' team plays in Division 3.
